go into "Options;Mail and News Preferences..."
Under that popup menu, choose the apearances screen, and there will be a 
radio button "Fixed Width Font"

Choose that.  

This is, of course, assuming that Netscape was smart enough to keep the
menus the same on the Mac as they are in the Unix version :)
