This would be better asked of the AOL support people.  Not all of us use the AOL
newsreader, and most of us don't have Global Preferences.  For example, I use
Agent, and use Options->Signatures to set up my sig.  Unix users simply create a
.signature file in their root directories.  You get the idea.

Questions relating to how to use your newsreading software should be asked of
the AOL support people, not the alt.ascii-art group.
