This usenet group > is NOT called alt.ascii-art.no-requests I am not saying that this page should replace the usenet group. It's a supplement to it. I have no intention to replace it in any kind. I'm just providing a service for all the people on it. I think there should be requests, but how many times haven't you seen requests for roses, hearts, holiday art, cartoons, etc. etc. I would like to see much NEW art. Like Joris and Joan does. There are too many requests for things that already exists, and thats were I come in. I'm in no way forcing you to go to my site at all! > I and many others here in this usenet group will be here passing out > request art when you have burned out on ascii art. I think you have missed something here. I'm also passing out requested art, with a message saying: More on my site. I don't pass out art, when it's huge collections. > It happened to > Scarecrow. I'm not just here to get votes for my site. Why would I? It's not like it mean anything for me. I have only recieved five votes, and I couldn't care less :) The Wicked Ascii Art site, was created long before home.sol.no came up with that idea. > I hope you relax once in awhile and see > that that the web is just one step closer to internet TV. I even answer requests by email. > I guess I should have asked you more > questions about why you are rude to people with requests? I'm not. If it has appeared that way, I apologize. I'm not a rude type, I might be a bit stupid sometimes, but I'm all nice. > Why you want to > make this usenet group smaller and have people bypass it completely to go > to your site and never come here anymore? I don't want people to do that. It's a supplement, you hear? > Sorry to bug you but you are > probably driving people away from this group and I don't like it or your > egotism about your super super website. I'm sorry you feel this way, but my website also has links and advice them to use this newsgroup, so it's vice-versa. I'm not egoistic, I'm promoting a service. > Sorry for over reacting but that > is what I like about usenet, it is more of a real place with people in it. Yes, I love the newsgroup and I visit it every day. I want it to be a lively community, and I want more NEW art posted! Erik ~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^ >
