What are some of the advantages of putting data on CD-ROM?

1) With your own CD-ROM you can move megabyte eating files off your
hard drive and yet still have instant access to those files without
having to
deal with other storage type media that take forever to backup and
restore.

2) You can take all your old and new software programs from floppies
and
place them on one disc.

3) It's cheaper to use CD-ROM storage over other types of storage
media. 
For example: You don't have the cost of buying the backup drive i.e.:
Zip,
Ditto, etc. and the media to go with those drives.  

4) You don't have to restore the files back to the hard drive in order
to use the
files.  With CD-ROM you just pop it in the drive and it's ready to go!
