   I cheated basically, but still they look okay, what I did was:

   1) Found a decent sign or symbol from various fonts within
      Windows, went into Paintbrush and typed in the character at a
      huge size eg 400 points. 

             OR

      Went into `Neopaint' and drew the picture freehand.

   2) Then I saved the piccy in .GIF format using Lview Pro.

   3) Finally I converted the .GIF into ASCII by using the GIFSCII
      converter thing.

    So the pictures aren't really my own, but I'll claim them anyway! :)
