On a PC make sure you have ANSI.SYS loaded : in your CONFIG.SYS file. You'll probably also want to convert these files : to DOS-ASCII. Use a CR/LF converter (e.g. FLIP.EXE from FLIP1EXE.ZIP) to do : this. Be sure to use the binary option because of the escape codes. On a unix system, if you have file.vt.Z, you can use 'uncompress', eg. uncompress file.vt.Z, this replaces file.vt.Z with file.vt, then view it with 'cat' *OR* you can skip the uncompress step and view it with 'zcat', eg. zcat file.vt.Z To view it slowly, use: zcat file.vt.Z | cat -u -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jake Patterson "...You'll see my teeth in the stars above..." jpatters@moose.uvm.edu -TMBG --------------------------------------------------------------------------
