I recently dowlaoded Gifscii verion 2.2 for macintosh and found it to be 
completely unusable. Not only is it obviously a rough port-over from a PC 
or Unix platform (as it has no mac interface), but more importantly, it 
crashes every time i try to open a Gif file! I am attempting to run it on 
a Mac Centris 610 (that's the one with a 68040 processor and no FPU) with 
system 7.1, 8 megs of ram, and a 14 inch monitor.
If anyone can tell me something i'm doing wrong, or suggest another 
gif-to-ascii converter for Mac i might try, it would be greatly appreciated.
