I wrote a program (over a year or two) that can read in various picture formats (added over time) and output different picture formats. I went and found the Spock poster on the net, and fixed up a program that could read in the FORTRAN carriage control format printer file and then I could output it in whatever form I wanted. I also have a program that I collected that converts fortran format to CR w/o LF to do the over-printing.
