I'm using Windows Terminal on a PC, displaying the text using the Terminal font. If I type "~^ and then zoom in on it, I see: MM MMMM MM MM MMM M MM MM MM MM MM MM MM MM MM M MMM For me, the ^ is higher than both the " and the ~. It would be interesting if people could mention what machines they were using and the font that they were using. That way we could make allowances for the different look of the characters.
