Gee, I dunno; was the above just another insult aimed at starting a flamewar? >Who are you to decide what's art and what isn't Fine. If you wish to be that way, we'll vote. It's now 2 to 2, so your side's got a pretty fair position. >The picture certainly did not annoy me, to the contrary, I thought >it was the most entertaining, funny and different Post I'd seen in >a long time. To some people, you'd appear to have a rather cruel sense of humor. True, no one should force you not to be amused by whatever amuses you, but is it really worth it for the first guy to annoy a bunch of people just get a laugh out of another bunch? >Anyway, watch out kids, if you want to post anything to the group >from now on, don't bother without consulting big DG first. >It's only right that he imposes his twisted personal morals on everybody >else, or then again you could just ignore him as he's obviously just a >ridiculous, narrow-minded cretin. *sigh* (more flamebait...) >Zack, maintain the good work and keep us all amused. Look, David may be annoyed by Zack's .sig because David is a die-hard bible-thumping Christian who really _is_ out to censor the Net. Or he may not. I really don't know. I'm a Christian (or least, I was raised as one), and personally, I'm not put off by anti-Christian humor that much. Plus, as jokes go, the ol' "rusty nails" line isn't all that bad. What put me off was that it was LAME. It's like me writing a five-line verse, and the fifth line doesn't rhyme with the first two or even scan right, but boy, it really disses women! and calling it a limerick. In short, it felt like someone was trying to poke fun at a group of people but wasn't willing to expend lots of effort. C'mon! Impress me! Show me a nice big ascii picture of Jesus wracked with angst as he's being stuck with rusty nails. If you do, you'll still annoy some people, but a lot more people than before (like me) will complement you on your industry. :) Extra points if you can fit it in a 4-line .sig. There's your assignment. G'luck, Jim. Paul Brinkley brinkley@cs.utexas.edu (Speaking of which, the PRO-Christian art could use a lil' work, too...plain wooden crosses again?? Gimme a break! :) )
