The main problem I had when attempting to use it to cloth a biped was the intersecting vertices error where part of the cloth intersects with the biped. Aside from creating cloth It's also extremely useful for creating solids which interract with other solids (bouncing off, causing dents in objects etc - but you can use Hypermatter for that too). I think my best example was a ball and chain demolition animation using the solid properties to create the swinging ball on the chain and the crumpling of the metal on contact.
