There are different animation techniques. The newer animations use
javascript to animate text in a textarea. You don't need any special
plugins, just your ordinairy browser with Javascript turned on. llizard
has some on her homepage:

Suggestion: Keep the lovely-looking Figlet sig and skip the meaningless
