Well, to speak the truth, I have nothing to deal with the Applet part of the animation : I "just" made the ascii-animations themselves, that's all. It's Vincent Lepetit (mailto:vincent.lepetit@loria.fr) who made the Java-viewer part, and I know it's not over yet : when he has time, he'll try to implement an optional system of compression so that the biggest animations can be viewed in shorter time. For exemple, the "Les Caribous de l'Espace" animation (initial size : 733 Kb of raw text) would weight only 31 Kb. Nevertheless, big animations are rather rare, therefore such a system shouldn't interest much people 'xcept me. -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own
