References to the websites can always be made. And WHY doesn't it belong in this newsgroup? As far as I can see the topic "how to present ascii art in html" concerns both html and ascii art. > Same applies to Java in my view. I don't think I have seen *any* discussions about Java in this newsgroup - ever. > Discussion here in alt.ascii-art can surely only lead to newcomers > thinking that actual HTML postings are welcome here... Why whould they think that? Or do you belong to the group of people who think that talking about sex in schools will lead to more teenages having sex? It would be pretty weird if the people in alt.html and comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html did not mention html... Those are two text-only newsgoups (just like alt.animals.felines and rec.pets.cats.anecdotes are text-only newsgroups) where people DISCUSS how to write html. If you make a post to either of these groups USING html you will most likely be flamed for it. > Others see it's use in newsgroups as a form of Net-Abuse and say it > should be confined to the Web, and the Web is _not_ Usenet. I still don't see how they relate to discussing how to present ascii art in html. > Hey, I just had a late thought...perhaps the moderated newsgroup, > "rec.arts.ascii" would welcome HTML stuff ? :-) :-) > Well, why don't you try and see if our friend the moderator is awake and will accept that as on-topic. :) -- _ _ __ ___.--'_`. __ __ _ .'_`--.___ __ ( _`.'. - 'o` ) \ \ / /__ _ _ ___ _ _ (_)__ __ _ ( 'o` - .`.'_ ) _\.'_' _.-' \ V / -_) '_/ _ \ ' \| / _/ _` | `-._ `_`./_ ( \`. ) //\` \_/\___|_| \___/_||_|_\__\__,_| '/\\ ( .'/ ) \_`-'`---'\\__, ,__//`---'`-'_/ \` `-\ uggc://jjj.yhqq.yhgu.fr/hfref/ix/ /-' '/ ` _____________________ r93-ixa@fz.yhgu.fr ____________________ ' LIKE MY SIG?
