But we were not USING it in usenet newsgroups... we were DISCUSSING how
to use it to present ascii art on homepages... Please learn the
difference between talking about something and doing something. A couple
of extreme examples to get you on the right track, there is a difference
between talking about sex and actually having sex, there is a difference
between talking about murder and actually murdering somebody. In the
same way there is a difference between talking (in a newsgroup) about
how to present ascii art in html documents and using html in usenet
posts.

I haven't heard anybody here saying that we should make html posts to
this (or any other) newsgroup. On that point I have only heard people
say exactly what you are saying in that post. You are getting two
entirely different things mixed up: how to post to newsgroups and what
to discuss in newsgroups.

Why not? I've seen several such discussions about Netscape News, AOL's
news program, Outlook Express [?] and other news programs and have not
heard many complaints about that. I have also seen such discussions
about various text editors, without any complaints from those who don't
happen to use those particluar programs.
