I'd like to insert a correction pointed out to me by Mary Heath :

Thanks for the fascinating graphics. With St. Patrick's Day 
coming up very soon, however, you should make a revision on 
the graphic for that day. The shamrock should be shown as 
having only _three_segments, not four. (I think people confuse 
the sha mrock with the lucky 4-leaf clover.) The history of
its "3-ness" is that St. Patrick used the 3-segmented shamrock 
as an analogy for the Trinity, with its 3-in-1 nature.
