104:19) Danny O'Bedlam Date: 08-MAR-94 10:20 there is a place where the YELLOW TRAINS live. it is the 38th St Yard in brooklyn, adjacent to the old 9th avenue station on the B line. to get there ride the B one stop past 36th st and 4th avenue, and you'll ride in an open cut, through one of the most bizarre looking neighborhoods in the city - just south of Greenwood cemetary. the train takes a sharp left turn once it leaves 36th st. 9th avenue is a two-level station, passengers only use one section but the area with the work trains is visible. the old culver shuttle line used to run from this station to McDonald avenue, but that has long since been torn down. Now the only way out on the eastern side is the B elevated down New Utrecht avenue. - - - - - .
