 Agreed.  OJ was not really a hero of mine, but I had great respect for his
 abilities as an athlete, and that respect was enhanced by the way he
 segued nicely into another set of careers afterwards, and continued to
 entertain me.  A man of many facets, who I had respect for.

 It's just sad, so very sad, to see his other side come out in such
 dramatic fashion.  Sure, I recognize that many of the athletes that I
 respect have bad character traits, as do many of the actors, etc.  But it's
 rare that one of them gets accused of brutal, premeditated murder, with
 much publically aired evidence that makes it seem like he did it.

 I've never had someone I had respect for knocked from their pedestal in
 such a dramatic way.
