       @_elena It's really amazing how the Fediverse is ignored in so many aspects of society. I'm constantly emailing companies and organizations explaining the Fediverse and asking them to create profiles. If I had to guestimate I'd say my success rate is about 1%. At least it's something. More than zero is better than zero.

       @_elena @molly0xfff I had a similar experience. Even after I sent a goodbye email, I kept getting new subscribers almost every day. I tried to fix that, but Substack's help page says that there is no way to keep the sent issues published while simultaneously removing the subscribe button. So I ended up deleting the entire newsletter. 🤔 I see why they do that now.

       @_elena There are many more companies, institutions, news outlets, YouTubers etc. there then here. For example, several EU institutions and politicians are pretty active there. So, I have a few lists and use it as sort of a reader to check the latest news and other information once or twice  a day. Mastodon is where I follow and interact with real people, which is what I really enjoy here.

       @_elena Honestly, I think that will only create a sense of division: "Mine is better than yours".I don't believe that's what the world needs now. I think we need to try to find a common ground. For example, why did they choose the ATProto? Although I would prefer them to have decided on ActivityPub, maybe they have a reason.
