@h @Edent @dansup he only has to open source it at the end though right? (I don't think nlnet requires you to open source throughout the dev process necessarily. Just at the end it needs to be open source) it wouldn't be the first project that's closed source at the start (because yeah... it's not done yet and there are problems) and then open source when they declare it stable

@dansup please just go outside and touch grass.... Or have a Snickers or something.....While I don't agree with some of the things you do.... I do think in general you do good work but the way you're interacting with the community right now looks really stupid and toxic... @dansup my guy.... A lot of people in the comments including myself for giving you honest f****** advice.... Just get off the computer for a day or some s***. I too appreciate some of the tools you've made but the way you're interacting with the community right now is really stupid and toxic. And you're just 100% playing into a Streisand effect.....Also the way you're "trying to flex on the haters" and whatever the f*** you're trying to do.... That is Elon style behaviour. Be better

Good news!This year at #fosdem there is a new email that you can use to report any problems related to cleanliness or full bins or whatever:cleaning@fosdem.org We'll do our best to make sure it's handled asap.Also toilets in general should be cleaner as we have a better system in place! 🤞(Oh and the bins-overflowing problem in the street with the food trucks should also be fixed)

OH WOW huh.I have #KDE Connect installed, which links your phone and Linux PC for controlling media, etc.I also have a Firefox addon that gives KDE Connect more info about my browser activities.But what I just realized this morning is pretty freaking cool:When you're watching a video in Firefox, you can pause/resume it from the KDE Connect app. Plus, clicking the notification opens the same YouTube video on your phone... cool!

@david @nextcloud @peertube yep, have also been asking for this. It makes so much sense, yet they haven't done it...I get that it's more work, but it seems like the right thing to do.And the excuse of 'having to maintain a peertube server' is one.... just have a company host it (like @Cloud68 )The added bonus is that you ca have peertube embeds on the nextcloud site which will never cause tracking/ad problems

I forgot to post it here, but I found it really cool how #Nextcloud during their Hub 10 announcement livestream actively pointed out that they spend most of their time on fixing bugs and improving stability.Like sure. @nextcloudGood news, you even already work with a company that can easily host such an instance for you! @ProcoliX , they're a platinum partner of yours... So surely you trust them back, right?Create video.nextcloud.com and have it be hosted by @ProcoliX ... Just upload it and pay a monthly invoice. @zeiroslion@Tutanota is the best alternative for protonmail. Not perfect, but they're constantly improving.Keep in mind that going with a whole e2e encrypted mail service does have it drawbacks in terms of ease of use.Non e2ee:@fastmail is loved for it's performance and UX but if you want a European one: @startmail is also very cool

@Tutanota @kagihq 's AI slop filters also work really well so you can actually do image search without being bombarded with ai images
