       Last night, I dreamed that a taxi from the UK arrived outside my house.  Out stepped the 60-something beardy driver who asked me to get in.  I hadn't ordered a cab - especially not from the UK - but the driver seemed oddly familiar and I felt safe complying with his request.We travelled some considerable distance.  I lost track of the time.  Eventually we arrived at the top of a hill.  For some reason I noticed that the taxi's meter was showing"11001".  The driver asked me to get out and look at the view from the hill.I saw a featureless plain, covered with beige grass.  Featureless, that is, apart from a message in 10ft high letters, burned into the grass as if by some giant alien flamethrower.  It read, "Definitely not a cult".  Puzzled, I turned to return to the taxi.  As I did so, my foot struck something.  Picking it up, I realised it was an empty Kool-Aid bottle.I looked around but the taxi and its driver were gone.Then I woke up.

       @MastodonThis is a good idea in principle but how will you safeguard against spamming?On a server like social, which has open signups with no verification or human checking, it would be a spammer's delight.  Create an account, follow all the "packs" and let rip.

       @mtechmanYes, F-Droid is good.  I trust it far more than Play.  Obviously not everything available on Play is on F-Droid but I install apps via the latter whenever possible.You can also increase the availability of apps by adding repositories such as Guardian Project (Settings -> Repositories).
