Watching AI-generated patches to open-source projects is like watching an avalanche from a front seat. Magnificent to watch, impossible not to film for hysterical raisins, and you know you'll be under it soon enough. This shit doesn't even build, y'all. It either breaks the build system or does not even touch it, so the compiler won't attempt to build the AI-generated code. Well, good riddance.

This was originally planned for the Ondsel blog. Well, Ondsel folded, but the interview survived :)https://blog.freecad.org/2025/12/12/rockets-windblades-and-3d-printing-food/

SolveSpace from Git can build with Qt6 now. HiDPI support is not great yet, but this is early work

@pocketvj Tough luck. The only application that supports screen readers is Audacity, and I'm not sure if screen readers support works on Linux. Even if it does, Audaciy only really supports audio, MIDI support has always been rudimentary (read: not worth talking about)

@pocketvj That said, I know very little about commercial options and their support for screen readers on Linux. My impression is that DAWs mostly don't support screen readers at all. I'd hazard a guess that even if there is some support in the ones that work on Linux, it would be largely untested on this platform

@radioclash You cannot be possibly directly comparing a general image editor against an application for painting and claiming it works better

@radioclash "Affinity - designers hate Canva but it's free now, works WAY better than Krita." - Why would I argue with the OP if you wrote that? :)I can't for the life of me imagine how Affinity "works better" than Krita given that they are targeted at two slightly overlapping groups of users.

@Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux @hydrian @GIMP I don't understand this comment either. Someone contributed a patch to make the plugin work with a newer version of GIMP. I tested and merged the patch, then tagged and announced the release. Where is all this explaining coming from?

@mray @Blender What's the problem with a local US event that doesn't replace the usual NL-based event later same year?
