       Saw a small act of heroism. A lady ran past me barefoot along the beach screaming that someone had taken her bag. I didn’t see it happen or how the everyday hero stopped the robber, but a guy got her bag back and she gratefully embraced him.Reminder: we can always do SOMETHING to help someone.❤️❤️#hero #heroes #kindness

       @_elena looking at newspaper covers today in the U.S., it’s on the front cover (1A) in articles, not just noted at the bottom, in The Boston Globe, Dallas Morning News, LA Times, Tampa Bay Times.        @_elena sure thing! I have been checking mostly international newspaper covers daily since the inauguration via Kiosko.com. They also have US ones but as I mostly check in am, with time difference, those aren’t online yet in the am

       @_elena I think there are different approaches & perspectives for diff people. I am still on many big tech platforms and feel I reach people. I deleted Twitter long ago, I don’t order from Amazon (but Amazon owns so much I am still financially supporting them, if nothing else via AWS which huge % of Cos use), I moved my blog from Substack. But I also lost my job and have to find a job sooner rather than later & it must still qualify for my visa in Spain. Most jobs on LinkedIn.

       @_elena thank you, Elena. It is rough out there for finding a job with so many people in the U.S. or whose companies/orgs had affiliation with U.S. govt out of work. Plus you have companies using AI or the excuse of it to cut jobs 😢I’m sorry you’re having to do that, but glad you have a semi-acceptable solution.

       I am watching Andor at last, and just got to one of the scenes filmed in Valencia. I still lived there when this was filmed, and by happenstance ran past Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències multiple days while they were filming.#andor #starwars #valencia

       @_elena contrarian here, but I really like Bluesky and get substantial interaction there as well as find far more content that is of interest.I love the community on Mastodon, but it’s much more niche and I also prefer the format on Bluesky. Then again, I loved Twitter and built a huge part of my network in Spain via that platform back in the day (I am not on it now).Also, I do chronological feed on every platform that has it enabled.
