It's understandable that you publish to were the audience is, however we need to be encouraging bridges as well (in parrallel if necessary) or we'll be trapped in the same way evil corp(s) had us trapped before nextcloud came along.It's a great sign of leadership by your organization and also signals to users that these alternatives, like yours, are viable.

I feel that so many need it, but don't actually know it yet;) It is a major part of our creative and social sovereignty.  At this point even otherwise idiologically aligned projects that aspouse the use of alternatives to replace big tech are not even mirroring their content to the "free web".I can't wait for your interview with Paige!

       @_elena congrats, it looks great!  All the motion design you did really paid off, it makes it so much easier to follow.  I feel like no matter how much you try to "dumb it down" it's still a hard subject to explain to the lay person.I love that there is https://jointhefediverse.net so helpful!I'm not European, but maybe in a future update/continuation you could focus on building data sovereignty outside the big US tech firms 🤷‍♂️

       Hi All, I could use some advice.  #askfedi #3d #freecad #3dscanning I'm looking for a free or inexpensive solution to do some scanning or photogrammetry to be able to build one of a kind parts for a car.Any suggestions?Thanks in advance, and please boost for reach.*edit, I should have mentioned, I prefer an android app, or even desktop that uses DLSR photos ... but iphone is always something I can look into.

       #askfedi Does anyone have experience transferring Apps and Data from #fdroid to a new device?I have a Samsung, moving to a Pixel and it very predictably only transfers GooglePlay apps.I've tried the Nearby Device option but it seems to work, then simply doesn't:(
