Earlier this year, the German BSI together with the Consumer Advice Centre NRW performed a review of 10 popular password managers. What can we say? Based on early feedback provided from the BSI (and similar requests in the past), KeePassXC version 2.7.11 (released two weeks ago) changed the default auto-lock setting after inactivity to "on" with a timeout of 15 minutes. Go to Settings -> Security in case you want to restore the previous behaviour.

@koehntopp @bitwarden As I understood, the selection was random, which could definitely be questioned. Though adding some lesser known choices can make sense.EDIT: After checking the report again, it says the selection is based on a market evaluation. I cannot say what the criteria were for this.

@thoralf Fully agree that there are several options that should have been on the list, too. Though the results for some aren't exactly buying recommendations. If anything, it says that a recognisable brand name isn't all you should be looking for in a PW manager (and I'm sure they have plenty of users just by being bundled with other software). That wouldn't be an argument to remove them from the list, but one to make the list longer.@koehntopp @bitwarden @bsi @verbraucherzentrale_nrw

@_slowly @compfu That is indeed strange. The link is only what is normally shown in the QR code. So it definitely should work. If your app cannot handle it, you can also donate directly to wero [at] keepassxc.org.

@compfu Your name (with last name as asterisks if you haven't checked the full name reveal option).Edit: in the transaction list on the actual checking account it always shows your full name with a Wero transaction ID. So it seems that the asterisks are rather useless.

@Kuxius Phone numbers and email addresses can be used to discover other users if you don't have a QR code or link. We have only an email address, no phone number. If you scan the code, you should need neither.

To everyone experience issues with KeePassXC-Browser on Edge at the moment: We are aware of that. It's caused by a browser engine bug that has already been rolled back in other Chromium-based browsers, but not Edge.
