I need a new laptop. One that's my own, instead of dedicated to working on #krita. I would prefer a Framework 12, but those are unobtanium in the Netherlands...(My current laptops are: a Lenovo Yoga with horrible keyboard and touchpad, for Windows dev, an arm and a ten year old intel mac for macos dev, an intel SDP with no redeeming features and a cupboard full of broken thinkpads.)

It's weird, but I haven't had hardware-just-for-me for more than a decade. Even when I'm configuring a new laptop, I always think "how would this build Krita, how can I test Krita on this".

@Takiro I am not getting through their website, but it reminded me of slimbook, which is also an option.Still, a bubble-gum framework 12 would be so cute...

Don't get too excited, because this is a prototype (by Timothée Giet) and isn't connected to #krita itself. But... You can get a feel of the way the workflow goes. I was really satisfied playing with it on my phone.https://valdyas.org/fading/hacking/krita-hacking/imagining-krita-on-a-phone/

I get it Microsoft, I get it. You want me to "upgrade" to Windows 11, but... This laptop came with Windows 11 and I installed Windows 10 after it got repaired by Lenovo, and I know that WIndows 11 is worse than Windows 10 in every respect, even though Windows 10 is pretty awful. I only have Windows on this laptop because, as the #krita maintainer, I need access to all operating systems, even the really awful ones.But really, asking twice? You're too pushy, you old coot.

Eh, what happened to me... I was always a serious person, but now, @irina and I were watching ep5S2 of Hamefura, and we were discussing our OTP's -- mine was KataMary, hers was MariaKata -- and we both agreed that apart from Nicol, there was no boy worth attention.This is not how I thought I'd spend Sunday evenings in my late fifties.

@sturmsucht The thing is... There can be discord thingies (refuse to call it a server...) that look like they're official, but completely are NOT. The #krita discord place is big, busy and the people managing it do a good job (I think), but it's not affiliated with the Krita project or foundaiton.For Krita users, the place to hang out is krita-artists.org, for developers... Our IRC channel, #krita.
