@bhawthorne Here’s my current favorite in the genre: https://www.learnancientrome.com/did-ancient-rome-have-windows/Where the section titled “what existed before windows“ includes this gem concerning MS-DOS 🙄

@Dendrobatus_Azureus @gyptazy @stefano Another piece bringing the Proxmox ecosystem closer to parity with vSphere. This is good to see

@gyptazy @Dendrobatus_Azureus @stefano The day we can get non-forwarding virtual switch that is configured as per the ESXi UI, we'll have covered one of the biggest hurdles. That remains one of the blocking points for a lot of VMware admins that I've worked with that are otherwise pretty much onboard with the idea of moving

@MichaelWhelan My mental pictures of Anne’s dragons were significantly influenced by your artwork which captured so much of the important details. That cover remains graven in my memory - say the title and I can remember so many of the tiny details

Now that’s something you don’t see everyday - a 1970s era Citroen DS that has been converted to a battery electric car.

And I have to own up to not knowing my DS history as well as I should. My parents had one when I was a kid in the early 70s, so that’s mentally how I’d tagged it, but this is more likely a model from the 60s (or maybe even the 50s !!!)

Also noting that I'm in a country back-water in (close to) the middle of nowhere at the absolute periphery of what could be considered a supportable commute to Paris

Whoops - that exploded beyond my usual network. Very happy to see that the DS is universally liked and even more so in an electric version. Also happy to note that my standalone Mastodon instance is holding up nicely under the load

Also noting the joys of a federated network. All of this love and zero dependency on any centralized platforms. Just my little virtual machine participating in a bigger network

@auf_mastodon @Tutanota This is also a worst case scenario for evaluating AI use in a corporate environment. Q: Do you use the AI tools we provide? YesQ: Did you get value out of using the tool? YesAnalysis: AI tools good!Unless (very unlikely) the people studying actually look at the end-to-end value of the process they are going to come to false conclusions

@MichaelWhelan Loved the book, loved the cover. It's like you plucked the images of Elric from my mind's eye
