       Thinking about a stance on so-called AI and I think I can just point to the work of critical scholars such as Timnit Gebru and Emily M. Bender.I personally am sick of the hype and sick of how it ties into a development of devaluing human labor and creativity, increasing enshittification, ongoing exploitation of the already precarized (especially in the Global South), and increasing concentration of wealth in ever fewer hands, as well as shutting down avenues for creatives to make a living.

       @bleeptrack I feel you. Not so much with the loneliness (I'm a hermit, I need a fair bit of solitude to feel ok) as with the SAD.November and December always feel to me like the year is already over and I'm terribly behind on everything. I have just gone back to using FocusMate (https://focusmate.com) after a break of several months and it helps me with giving some structure to my days and being more focused.

       I feel like I ought to take a stance on crypto stuff, namely cryptocurrencies and NFTs.And that stance is: I am convinced they are harmful on many levels.        Time for a new #introduction!I'm a classical #mezzosoprano and #musicologist by training. I listen to #classicalmusic, #metal (mostly progressive), #ebm and a random assortment of other stuff.I'm a regular #fawm participant, and I compose more or less #experimental #electronic music in #SuperCollider. I do #livestream s where I explore :sccube: concepts and compose out loud.I sing #choralmusic (classical and jazz) and play #guitar. Will occasionally infodump on #musictheory.
