This is Tuned To A Dead Channel, my brainfog from ME/CFS etched into sound. I've been wanting to, needing to make this for years. This absolutely requires a headphone warning, and you will probably feel like you want to turn it down (or off) sometime after 3:30. Please do that. It only gets more unpleasant. This is by necessity.(reposted to change visibility settings and add tags)#music #mecfs #brainfog #chronicfatigue

This is A Moment, Interrupted, a nice little 3/4 piece I wrote a few years back to see what I could do with just one instrument. I'd gotten pretty comfortable with stacking looping layers on top of each other, and wanted to see what would happen if I didn't let myself stack.

This is Where The Lotus Grows, Moonlit, a piece I wrote for twitch streamer LotusLovesLotus (https://twitch.tv/lotusloveslotus) because I had a new software synth, and she'd just gotten a new Starting Soon title card made, but had no music.A fun challenge to help me learn the ropes, and one of my favourite pieces to date. It's not perfect, but I adore it.Sorry for the abrupt start, that's the tails from the end of the track, because it's intended to loop.

Skelly Time is a castlevania inspired piece that I wrote for @8bitgoggles 's stream intro. Another looper, this one makes *heavy* use of low-frequency oscillators to provide movement and variety across the entirety of the piece.I write a lot of loop-based music, oops.

This one is called "Gloss"I don't remember what I was trying to do here, but you can tell I love reverb. This might be one of my better attempts at writing a rhythm part, too!The vocals are from the Amy library from the Atelier Series. Also the melody isn't a loop this time!

This one is a generative (aleatory, not AI) piece that I put together as my way of asking @sonicsakura out. It worked :heart_sp_trans: :artaww: Fractal Space uses a spiral step sequencer; it lines all the notes up, then spins them around concentric circles, playing them whenever they reach the top. Each circle can move at different speeds, and be offset individually, too. This leads to a semi-random sequence of notes, but all notes that fit together.

This one is called The Forest, Everwhen, and was a commissioned piece that I delivered late due to illness. As far as I'm aware, it never got used, which is a shame because I'm *very* proud of this one.The brief was an enchanted forest, and I feel I nailed the vibes.

"hey Talia, can you write me one of those musical stings they use on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?""Dunno, let's find out!"..."So it turns out that, yes, I can do that."

I have so many unfinished sketches, some of which are ongoing commissions that I shouldn't shareBut here's a cool cinematic piece I may one day finish. Featuring my (apparent) one true love: all of the reverb in the known universe, attached to a single piano

Last one for now! This is A Thought, Forgotten. It uses the melody from a piece further up the thread, A Moment, Interrupted, and turns it into a music box!The piece was an experiment in transcribing dissociation into music, so the clean and clear music box is slowly swamped by an all consuming choir of angelic noise, never to return.

I know it's a Christmas song but I think How To Make #Gravy is relevant to the Zeitgeist right nowhttps://youtu.be/iYqIF2XkqKU
