@dansup If he does not support Russia's war, he can say so. If he is afraid for his life, he should not write anything on this topic. But he writes that it is the Russians who are the victims and that the Russian state is a normal state that is just temporarily under Putin's control.Criticism or attempts to give "orders" to developers who create something open source for everyone is terrible. I'm grateful to all the developers for the great projects

@Mastodon It would make sense if by clicking on the author's name I could see the author's page or other articles written by the author

@Tutanota I would rather focus on the word ‘private’ than ‘anonymous’

@Tutanota Is there a way to integrate this calendar into Linux Mint (or into the native Mint calendar @linuxmint )I am an inexperienced user. They have an ‘online accounts’ window and everything integrates conveniently with Google, for example

@mntmn @linuxmint has the same problem. Surely this can be fixed with commands that will break something in the future, but it's a bit of an unpleasant problem with Linux

@eff To be honest, I don't see any problems with limiting anonymity! on the internet. What you write online, you should be able to say in real life. And you have to be accountable for everything. But we must protect the privacy of private messages and users. The problem lies in how this is implemented and how the state transfers data (which it already has) to third parties

@Tutanota I like VLC, but I would like them to improve the design and interface, as well as the subtitles

I think large social networks should verify users. It's like getting a driver's licence. If you don't want to verify your identity, you can, but you won't see content from unverified individuals and your content won't be visible to others. The only problem is implementation. We need a system that chooses what data to transfer (name and age) and how. Everything we write on open social networks should be something we can say on the street. #socialmedia #EU #europe #policy #internet

Everything we write in private messages should always have E2E encryption. It's time to put an end to hybrid attacks by autocracies and all this hatred. The internet is just a tool. It is unfortunate that some people confuse #privacy #anonymity and #security. These are all different terms related to different areas of the internet.

@eff Most points assume that the system can only be built on selfies and the transfer of all data about oneself. But the system can only confirm "yes, the person is over 18 years old and has this name" and that's it. Anonymity no longer exists if you use social networks without Tor (in Chrome). Social networks should not be anonymous. We must protect data privacy

@Mastodon There is a problem with verification. The current system is suitable for those who have a recognizable website and that's it. Fraudsters can verify the eloonmuskcom website for themselves, while people without a website (or whose website is not recognizable) cannot verify anything.Mastodon should copy the system from Discord. I think there should be a way to verify accounts from other services (Spotify, YT, Steam/GOG, Instagram)

@Tutanota I don't see any problem with people being public on public social networks. Everything you write publicly, you should be able to say to a police officer's face. It's simple.Everything you write in private messages should have E2EE.Anonymity, privacy, and security are different thingsIf your state persecutes people for criticism, then you have a problem with the state. You need to change the law, protect institutions from autocrats, populists, and radicals
