Without exception, Trotskyism is idealism. It fails to recognize in historical retrospect that it has failed to lead or spur the proletariat to successful revolution. Hence, Trotskyism has become the phony Marxism of the Christian-minded--people who see justice as a purely verbal or mental state. Trotskyists are happy to judge Stalin and his ideological descendants by purely mental constructs that they do not apply to Trotsky or his followers.
