======================================================
Can anybody help me?
I am working on a virtual reality based art project that will involve me
manually generating electricity to be fed into a 3D rendering program as a
signal that will alter the state of an object set up in the program.
Has anyone tried something similar, or has information which might help me?
The problems which I can see are these:-
How I can change the electricity into a signal which is recognisable to the
computer.
Relating to this is a second problem in that the electricity is going to
fluctuate greatly and so the electronic device used to change it will need
to be able to cope with this.
If this can be accomplished then I am going to need to write a program
which will interface between the data coming in and the 3D image already
set up, but I am limited by the time available to me (I am a third year
student) and a lack of expertise in this field.
The final problem is how I can best generate and control the image, whether
there is a program already written which can handle my demands, or whether
I am going to have to set up another program to make this part happen as
well.
If accomplished the kinetic/performance sculpture created will form the
major part of my degree show so if anybody can provide me with technical
help or advice I would be extremely grateful.

Diclamer: Sorry for any spelling or gramer mistacks I am DISXYK
