yeah, sorry I've been so quiet lately. I'm gearing up for my
first solo art show and it's kicking my butt! (if anyone else is in
Seattle, it's Nov 4 - Dec 7th at Art/Not Terminal Gallery (SHAMELESS
PLUG!)) Unfortunately, I won't have any VR works in it because of
equipment issues (if anyone has a spare Onyx they can loan me for a
month, I'd be your friend for life!)
On a more Vworlds list relevant note, has anyone read "a pattern
language." It's a book on architectural grammars that was part of a 3
piece set. I saw it in the bookstore a couple days ago and found it
really fascinating in its applications to VR architecture.
Unfortunately, it was US$50 and I couldn't afford it at the moment. I
know that there is a Virtual World building company in New York
(Softworlds, Inc) that uses architectural shape grammars to rapidly create
large cities for their worlds, and I'm interested in the possibilities.
