The Terra Vision project is indeed quite impressive. What I find most
interesting, though, is your reaction to it. According to you it broke
down national borders, and reminded you how we should take care of this
system of ours. Very good things to think about :) And it was, incidentally,
a beautiful post. Thank you.

But. Have you ever seen the video which presents this project? There,
the narrator talks about how useful it will be to 'high risk managers'
and 'decision makers.' The subtext between the lines being, of course,
military intelligence.

Do you realize how terrifying the Terra Vision idea really is? And what
it will actually be -used- for -- not raising consciousness, which is what
it did for you, and should be doing for everyone else, but probably
something else?

No, I don't beblieve in conspiracy theories and all that jazz. I'm not
a paranoid person; I don't have a PGP number; I'm not in the EFF. But
Terra Vision is something I find pretty disturbing. The possibilities
for surveillance are scary.

Am I just being one of the stupid anti-government people here, or am
I right? (Hint: I vote democrat ;))
