The Visitor
by Gary Campbell
From the darkness of another time,
Relentless and all consuming,
A stellar journey with no end,
In search of civilizations yet to be.It travels far and wide through time,
Not caring where it goes or why,
Directed by ancient commands,
Its creators long since dead.A distant star appears ahead,
A blue-green planet full of life,
Could this be the home it seeks,
Or just another blight to cleanse?Mighty engines spring to life,
Sensors awake to probe the void,
Could this cold, dark alien probe,
Be feeling what Man calls hope?
