Since we finished recording LARRY THRASHER has moved and rebuilt "LIFESOURCE STUDIO" at a new and larger location. This will mean recording will be less interrupted, and we can get involved in side projects and re-mixing "HAGSEED" by PIGFACE for an INVISIBLE RECORDS CD ov PIGFACE remixes, tentatively titled "FEELS LIKE HEAVEN/SOUNDS LIKE SHIT". "LIFESOURCE" have purchased a 16 Track 2 Inch SCULLY tape deck and will pursue an analogue and tube standard ov excellence in terms ov production values. Hopefully terminating all digital equipment as soon as possible. You'll hear thee difference on "TRIP RESET".

There are no instrumentals on this new album.

PSYCHIC TV have already written and partly recorded several tracks for their next studio album which will be titled "BRUTAL" and whilst continuing thee exploration ov lyrics and songs will be, as implied, a darker, harder interpretation at times. "TRIP RESET" demos were adjudged PTV's "best work yet" by members ov LOVE & ROCKETS when they heard them in Los Angeles. Gen is known to be happier with this album than any other since FORCE THE HAND OF CHANCE.

It's worth remembering that "TRIP RESET" is actually thee FIRST FULL ON STUDIO ALBUM by PTV FOR SIX YEARS!!! Thee last being "TOWARDS THEE INFINITE BEAT" in 1989. Certainly that is how we view it. This is not to say that our other works are less in any way butter it has all ways been in our mind that "FORCE" / "DREAMS" / and "ALLEGORY" were a specific hallucinogenic series. "TRIP RESET" is quite definitely thee next in this series, and should be considered as such.

Thee cover art is by PAUL NICHOLSON, who did thee marvelous hand drawn art for thee re-release ov "ALLEGORY AND SELF - THEE STARLIT MIRE" earlier in 95. Which same artwork became a fabulous T-Shirt in full colour (available from TRANSMEDIA). We hope that thee new cover will also make thee transfer to a T-Shirt too. It was designed in close collaboration with GEN and is coumpletely hand drawn agen. Another example ov thee non-digital "TRIP RESET" process. There is coum discussion ov a possible CD Single with bonus tracks and extended remixes, so keep an eye out for that too.

Synopsis: When visiting old friends LOVE & ROCKETS in Los Angeles recently Brother GENESIS suffered serious injuries whilst escaping a fire in thee house. His left arm was broken in eight places, thee elbow joint shattered. He had 3 fractured ribs. He had surgery to rebuild thee arm. He later suffered coumplications in thee form ov a pulmonary embolism caused by blood clots. He spent a week in intensive care of his two weeks in thee hospital. Doctors are agreed he is extremely fortunate to survive. He is now convalescing at home. It will probably be some time before we know whether thee left arm is permanently damaged. It is indicative ov Gen's dedication, that despite all this he has finished "TRIP RESET" and has been writing new theories on thee concept ov TIME as a refractive form ov matter. Thee planned USA tour for late Spring 95 has been postponed until further notice. However, as Genesis had, like so many ov us, no medical insurance, he is left with astronomical medical expenses! Special thanks must go to SISTER SALOME, who, by raising thee alarm, basically saved everyone's life who was sleeping in that house that particular night. SO BE I.T......

Thee alternative music coumunity and thee tribe have coum together to organise a benefit concert in Los Angeles to raise funds for those bills. At thee moment this is scheduled to take place on FRIDAY 30th JUNE 95 at thee PALLADIUM in Los Angeles. Artists and bands confirmed so far are:- LOVE & ROCKETS, OGRE (ov Skinny Puppy), SKY CRIES MARY, THE DANDY WARHOLS, THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE, PSYCHIC TV (with Gen), and DR TIMOTHY LEARY as MC. However, other bands have expressed interest, so don't be surprised if coum famous names are added later. Thee benefit is presently called "ROCKET TO THEE SOURCE" and is being promoted by GOLDEN VOICE. Everyone is donating their services free, so try and be there. So far, all thee bands playing are Gen's favourite live bands in thee USA at this time. More detailed information, ticket outlets, and added band info will be posted here by PTV4UNE throughout June.

"CATHEDRAL ENGINE" by PSYCHIC TV in thee form ov Genesis P-Orridge and Larry Thrasher just came out on DOSSIER RECORDS in Germany. Catalogue number: DCD 9067. An ambient remix ov thee instrumental musics from "A HOLLOW COST". Thee tantric cover has caused some distribution problems, so this edition is destined to be rare and collectable. (No USA release)

"GODSTAR--THE SINGLES PART TWO" by PSYCHIC TV. Released on CLEOPATRA in thee USA. Catalogue number: CLEO 095182. Twelve more alternative mixes and B-sides. Includes thee very rare SORDIDE SENTIMENTAL version ov "Romen P." Previously pretty much impossible to locate.

"SIRENS--ULTRADRUG THEE SEQUEL" by GENESIS P-ORRIDGE and PSYCHIC TV. Released by VISIONARY Records in England. Catalogue number: VICD 005. A collection ov tribal remixes primarily done with Andrew Weatherall, top UK DJ and Producer. 60 minutes ov pure trance and radical dance mindscapes. This CD basically coumpletes thee Astorical, and back catalogue releases by PTV. It is thee material that was recorded just before Brother GENESIS was forced into exile, hence it took so long to appear. Proceeds go towards suing Scotland Yard for thee return ov thee G.P-O Archives seized in thee illegal raid in 1991. Thee cover is an excellent G.P-O hallucinogenic collage, and thee sleeve notes are excellent.

"FORCE THE HAND OF CHANCE" is planned for re-release with bonus tracks and all lyrics on CLEOPATRA RECORDS in JUNE 1995.

"ELECTRIC NEWSPAPER Issue 2" will be released during May 95 on DOSSIER Records in Germany. REMEMBER, these are raw material and free sampling sources, they are NOT PTV releases ov music, though they CAN be listened to as cut-ups by those so inclined.

"ELECTRIC NEWSPAPER Issue 3" is coumpleted, and in production in Germany by DOSSIER Records. This will be thee last Elec. News. to be published in Germany. INVISIBLE RECORDS ov CHICAGO have taken over this project. Which means that future issues will be released directly in thee USA. They will also transfer to a CD ROM format as well as soon as possible during 1995. A WORLD WIDE WEB SITE is under construction that will include a free sampling zone Electric/Digital Newspaper library ov all thee source materials. Plus images and archive texts from thee TRANSMEDIA FOUNDATION ARCHIVE.

"THEE FRACTURED ARCHIVE" Thee SPOKEN WORD sequel to "A Hollow Cost" with music by G.P-O and Larry Thrasher will be released in thee WINTER ov 1995 on INVISIBLE RECORDS.

"BRUTAL" Thee next studio CD by PSYCHIC TV will also be released on INVISIBLE RECORDS in early 1996. Several songs have already been written. It will be thee shadow L-if-E, thee darkside to coumpliment "TRIP RESET". PTV hope to continue a long relationship with Invisible. This will mean domestic prices, AT LAST, for CD's in thee USA. It will also, hopefully, mean better distribution and accessibility.
