Nobody was injured in these attacks, which were claimed by a group called "Malcolm X and the Red Panthers". In a statement they said: "Our panther struck the nazi-idiot Ilo Da Deppo's car, founder of the nazi organisation "Veneto Fronte Skin"....Better close down this sort of place attended by "Teste Rasate" (skinheads) who enjoy themselves by going round attacking immigrants, comrades and everyone else who is not as idiotic as them. We broke the wall! Naziskins, this is the beggining of your end". In Veneto (North East Italy) in the last two years there have been numerous attacks and cases of intimidation against black immigrants, squatted social centres, and political activists. Just a few hours before the bombing, in the same town, an immigrant worker sleeping in his car was shot twice (a previous attempt to set him alight failed). A few months ago, again in the same area, a drug addict was kicked to death by a group of nazi sympathisers outside a beer festival. These are only two examples of a wide racist campaign, where fascist violence is becoming a daily routine. Against this background the antagonist movement feels compelled to fight back in order to uproot any racist seeds, defending by ant means necessary its own existence and giving support to minority groups. Holland and Belgium The various right-wing parties in Holland have reached an agreement with the Belgian Vlaams Blok (extreme right party with very large electoral support in Antwerp) to bring out a joint manifesto for 1994. Spain Last year, on Oct.12th, the Day Of The Races, a Franco instigated celebration of Columbus's "discovery" of the Americas, 2,000 right wing demonstrators assembled but were dispersed by riot police. Each year, the Day is followed by a "caceria," a hunt for immigrants and transvestites by right wingers. In Barcelona, 50,000 people marched against racism- the largest anti-racist march in the ci city's history. Big demos also took place in Madrid, Valencia, Zaragoza and Pamplona. In Madrid, politicians who marched at the front of the demo were taunted as "hypocrites" for their part in upholding the notorious "Ley de Estranjeria" (foreigners law). A demo also took part in Barcelona on the initiative of Moroccan immigration organisations to pay homage to the hundreds of immigrants who have drowned crossing the Gibraltar Straits. Sweden 900 riot cops were deployed to stop clashes between fascists and anti-fas during their annual neo-nazi march for 18th century warrior king Karl 12th on 30th Oct. According to Searchlight, the police discovered a bomb concealed at the point where anti-fas were rallying.
