Goodies Mailing List --------------------------------- INTRODUCTION ============ The response to the Goodies Fan Club has been overwhelming -- more and more fans are finding the club everyday! I'm happy to report that we're now at 45 members and climbing. I've submitted entries for The Goodies Fan Club at the following publications and online searchable databases: -- Britcomedy Digest (August issue) -- Yahoo -- WWWW (The World-Wide Web Worm) -- Lycos -- Webcrawler -- Net.happenings (I submitted an entry, but it's up to them whether to include us or not.) -- NCSA's What's New -- What's New for the cathouse.org British Comedy Pages Additionally, I've posted to alt.comedy.british and rec.arts.tv.uk.comedy letting people know about us. Hopefully, the result will be that those seeking information about The Goodies will be able to find it easily and quickly through a variety of high-profile internet sources. Those of you who have homepages, I encourage you to include a link to the Fan Club. ;) MEMBER PROFILES =============== Thanks to everyone who filled out the member profile and returned it to me. So far, I've: -- Joined the LISTSERV mailing list. -- Made initial email inquiries into possible host sites for the list. We need a host either at a university or some other institution that is online 24 hours a day -- perhaps one of you in the Fan Club is at such an institution. Please email me if you can help -- thanks. Incidently, I did inquire about this matter at IDiscover, my Internet provider, but they wanted to charge me 5 pounds per month. :( That may not sounds like much, but it'd be out of my pocket and that would mean 60 pounds per year!
