Locations for: Version 2.4 software LOADER24 : Unit ID# first eight digits at location 0235 (forward) Current month and service ID# at 0246 & 0247 (28a5) Make sure 6223 is D0 Even month key starting at 0100, Odd month key starting at 0163 Seed Keys at 2000 Example - 2000 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** 00 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** 00 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** 00 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** 00 Seven bytes of key then a 00 then seven more then 00 seven more then 00 last seven then 00. THEORY OF OPERATION: The text keys at 2000 are encrypted by the writer (trap 18) and stored at 6740 in U-20. The run chip in turn de-codes them by a reverse trap 18 and uses the encrypted keys from U-20 to produce the working key. This way there is no clear text keys in U-7, U-20, or U-30 to be read out or copied. Note: Use the 2000V24.RUN in 2000 boards (0100-0106) and the 2100V24.RUN chip in 2100 boards (018 and up). P.S. The RUN_MON0 & 8 chips work with version 2.4 ram image ONLY, and need the the encrypted seed keys at 6740 and serial # at 6235. Use LOADER24 to configure ram correctly for their use.
