Welcome to Spunk Press!  Spunk Press contains anarchist and alternative
material.  It is also available by WWW and gopher

There are currently two mirrors of this archive - one in Europe and one in 
Australia. The www urls are:

There are the following subdirectories:

* info: information on Spunk Press, sending material, etc; start in info/intro.
* catalogs: the archive catalogue (Catalog.txt) and structure (Directory.txt)
* library: the collection of texts and images.  This is classified by subject.
* All: all of the items in one directory.  Use this to retrieve an item by 
  number, selected from the catalogue - particularly if retrieving by
  ftpmail. Do not try "dir" here or you will wait a very long time.
* dosarch - the archive compressed as zip files for installation on DOS
  WARNING: the dos-archive is slightly outdated: a small number of
  files have incorrect names. We will try to regenerate them as soon
  as possible.
* macarchive - the whole archive, compressed for the Macintosh
* bin, scripts - scripts used to generate archive

10th October 1993: Spunk archive issue 1.0, 76 items.
21st December 1993:  Spunk archive issue 2.0, 162 items.
6th June 1994: Spunk archive issue 3.1, 355 items.
8th July 1994: Spunk archive issue 3.2, 411 items.
5th November 1994: Spunk archive issue 4.0, 662 items.  
3rd March 1995: Spunk archive issue 5.1, 986 items.  
1st November 1995: Spunk archive issue 6, 1319 items

Since then, the archvie has been updated continuously, rather than in large
batches. 

At 1st January 1998 there are approximately 1700 items, including items 
consisting of multiple files.
