The author was Christopher Hitchens. He also published a book.
I forget the exact title, but it contained the words "missionary
position". He made a film too.

As I recall, the basic beef was that she politicked against any
form of birth control, refused to let people adopt her orphans
if they practiced birth control, did not provide adequate relief
for people suffering in her hospitals because she thought that
god wants us to suffer, etc.  Oh, and she consorted with evil
dictators and criminals such as Charles Keating, taking their
money but legitimizing them by associating with them.
