Garfinkel wrote as a critique of Parsons only as a critique of the 1951
and later Parsons -- social systems and integration without actors, etc.
One should remember though that Garfinkel was a student of Parsons, and
the notion of cultures as integrated systems (regardless of how constructed)
is a very important element of both Garfinkel's Ethnomethodology and later
versions in the form of Conversation Analysis.
