How about George Ritzer's 
McDonaldization of Society (Pine Forge Press)
and Ritzer's "Expressing America, a Critique of the GLobal Credit Card 
Society"  ?  These two sources are more about Sociology IN Everyday Life 
rather than sociology  OF everyday life, but they are a great way for 
students to  realize that sociology is a very valuble tool for analyzing 
what is going on around the.  I imagine that you should use  
phenomeonlogy  quite a bit in a couse about Sociology  OF everyday Life...
