It may sound naive, but for a zero order assumption, let's start with the idea that once you get an interview, it's up to you to perform well. Question is who gets that opportunity. We had nine this year -- I'll verify this, but I think it was UNC, UCh, Harvard, Columbia, UCLA (2), Princeton, and ? (2). Can any of my brothers and sisters in New Haven complete the list? And Laura is right that we're tapping only the research university market by this approach. Perhaps in step two we can ask who got interviews where, but that's a different can of worms. djr
