It is unfortunate that people find my comments as funny, but there is support (empirical) for them. My comments were not intended to be funny--sorry they were found as such. I agree that people are finding it difficult to separate the comments from the person making them; hopefully our students (for those of us who teach, or plan to in the future) are not (or will not be) subject to this.
