Also, My undergraduate Social Theory professor described German as "a thousand words in search of a verb," IT is difficult to understand many Sociology works that have been translated from German, including parts of Max Weber's _Protestant_Ethic_and_The_Spirit_of_Capitalism_, which, incidentally, was translated by TALCOT PARSONS.
