Subject: bad writing
There are many examples of incomprehensible writing in sociology that is
not connected with postmodernism.  My favorite example is the famous 
functionalist theorist Talcot Parsons.  I've spent many hours trying 
understand what he is saying (what ever happened to his book editor?).
I would agree that postmodernism is overrepresented in the bad writing
awards contest, and perhaps we should send in examples of arcane language
from other perspectives.
