I haven't interpreted any of Thomas' posts as anything other than a diligent effort to identify empirical evidence of tracking in graduate departments. He's been receptive to new information and ideas and has responded carefully to each of the posted criticisms. I have found the discussion thoughtful and provocative and it has certainly helped me to think more clearly about what exactly would qualify as an example of tracking, the difference between pushing and pulling, and the definition of tracking. If you have any substantive comments on the dialogue on tracking, I would be interested in hearing them. But I don't see how your critique of Thomas' character does anything to further intelligent discussion.
