I'm just curious and have no desire to actually attend/work at one. As one who has experienced the pressure of a "top" institution (Oxford) I now have no further desire to be a miniscule fish in a pond of all-stars. Furthermore, I am simply not cut out for the rigorous pressure and cut-throat competition. I guess my point is that even the most gifted students may not benefit from, or flourish in an aggressively competitive environment. Just a thought for those aiming for the top or lamenting not having gotten there!! Thanks for your time Mirelle Cohen Sociology, University of British Columbia
