Hi, my name is Janis Johnston and I am a grad in soc at the University of
Wyoming.  I recently completed a project in which I watched 60 of those
cop shows and looked at the racial composition of the actors.  It was a
very interesting look, and sure showed how television seems to want to 
reinforce the negative stereotypes held by so many here in the states.
Just wanted to add my two cents and say Hi to everyone.
